In a bid to banish my fly by the seat of my pants approach to my or should I say Basil’s social life, I’m trying out a new forward-planning feature to keep track of Barkarama-worthy, dog-friendly happenings. I’m sure you’ll find it pretty useful too …
The Bark Agenda will, with the best intentions, pop up on your screen in the middle of the month (now being the exception) and detail must-do or quirky events to be enjoyed with, or in some cases without the dog, in the month ahead. So get your doggy diaries out folks, as here’s some gems coming up in August.
2-3 August: THE PET SHOW, Warwickshire
The largest national pet event in the UK, this is a two-day animal fest for all the family. Dog-lovers should head straight to ‘The Kennels’ zone where you will find more than 70 stands and exhibits devoted to dogs. Meet more than 30 different dog breeds, watch displays, have-a-go, shop ‘til you drop and chat with experts such TV vet Marc Abraham. For our #Catarama fans - Street Cat Named Bob and his owner James Bowan will also be signing copies of For the Love of Bob.
