It's been a while since I’ve chatted cat but there’s been a flurry of products and cat lady events that have caught my eye so I’ve got a right puss-on. Here's why…
Currently Coveting: Cheshire & Wain’s New Wonderland Collection
When it comes to stylish collars for pussies, cat collarsmiths Cheshire & Wain have definitely got the lion’s share. I’m currently coveting their new Wonderland collection, inspired by Alice’s adventures in Wonderland. Presented in a stylish gift tin (I have this thing with tins), each collar has a reference to Lewis Carroll’s much-loved tale, including Jabberwocky, White Rabbit, Flamingo (modelled by Percy Peter Wells above) and Cheshire Cat, priced £50 and up. Join me falling down the rabbit hole in love at Cheshireandwain.com.
Let’s Play: Food-Inspired Cat Toys From The Artisan Pet Deli
The perfect props for a witty kitty social media post is this new range of foodie themed toys including Sardine Tin, Olive Trio, Camembert, Strawberry Punnet and Tea Bag, priced £6 and up. All comes filled with premium Canadian catnip to drive your cat wild, while you look on with amusement. Fill up your basket at Theartisanpetdeli.com.
Book Me Up: Hello Kitty Cafe
Knowing I’m not alone in my adult appreciation of Japan’s most famous cat, I thought you’d like to know that she’s coming to London on June 1st, with a special Hello Kitty Secret Garden inside Soho cake shop Cutter & Squidge. Info is a little light on the ground but the Hello Kitty Afternoon Tea is priced £40 per person, £20 for under 8’s. Reservations are open and I suspect it will be v. popular so get booked up pronto at Cutterandsquidge.com – save me a seat!
Cat Lady Buy: PussZine
Purrfect for pawing over on a lazy afternoon is PussZine - a new zine celebrating the love for girls and cats. Created by fashion photographer Stephanie Sian Smith, PussZine features a series of nine (hot) girls hanging out with their pussy-cats – a must-have for your coffee table collection.
