This time last week Basil and I were a pair of giddy kippers for it was the night before the Old Spitalfields Paw Pageant and we’d be invited as official Re-paw-ters, sharing all the action, live from the front row ...

Back in February we hosted our inaugural Pup Personality contest, hoping to crown the pooch who scored highest at winning over our hearts and minds with their canine charisma. Seven-year old Hungarian Vizla Otty scooped the title with over 800 votes to his name - a deserved win, with all the work he and his owner have done to raise awareness and funds for a canine disease called Polymytositis ...

At the beginning of February, we launched our inaugural Pup Personality 2014 competition on Facebook to crown the pooch, who scored highest at winning over our hearts and minds with their canine charisma.

We received over 65 gorgeous, personality-packed entries all hoping to get their paws on the wooftacular £350 prize package to be enjoyed by the winning dog and their owner. As the clock struck midnight on Friday night, seven-year-old Hungarian Vizsla OTTY BARRETT (pictured above) scooped Barkarama’s Pup Personality title with a whopping 831 likes to his name …

Unless you’ve been hiding in your doggy den for the last week or so, you’ll have caught highlights of New York and London Fashion Week in the fashion and gossip columns of your daily read. While Basil and I are unlikely to ever find ourselves on the front row of the catwalk shows, we love to admire fashionable beings, especially those who own a dog (fidos and fashion - double the fun)!

In between #styleselfies #outfitoftheday and #thedailydown photos, here’s our five favourite fashion bloggers to follow on Instagram to catch sight of their fabulous fashion hounds …

For the love of dog, this February we’re looking to crown the pooch, who scores highest at winning over our hearts and minds with their canine charisma.

Whether it’s houndsome looks, a pretty face, heart-melting puppy dog eyes, a mega-mutt smile or a penchant for doggy dress-up, we invite you to submit your dog’s picture and tell us why they should be crowned Barkarama’s Pup Personality 2014. The dog receiving the most love will bag a wooftacular prize package worth more than £350 packed with goodies for both you and your four-legged friend ...

When it comes to doggie dress-up Basil’s not a fan so when I’m in need of some mindless distraction (like today) I get my canine kicks over on Instagram. By dress up, I’m not talking straight-out-the-bag character costumes but high-end fashion, creative genius, stupid amounts of cuteness, hilarity and a sprinkle of camp.

Here’s my fantastic four dress-up dogs to follow on Instagram …

Just like us, our first Puparazzi pup-star of 2014 is enjoying the rays flooding through her window. Meet Mischa or Lady Mischa as her dog parents like to call her.

Mischa is a Jack Russell who’s described as being as cute on the inside as she is on the outside. At just four months old, she’s a little dog with a big attitude. Her favourite thing in life is a rawhide treat but they’ve got to be super-size just like the one she’s pictured chomping on in her bed in this picture. We think she’s absolutely adorable.

If you'd like to show off your four-legged companion to the Barkarama pack, send in your photos to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. along with a brief profile on your dog.
